Below is the AURA calendar of events for 2017. Runners should note events included in the AURA events calendar are approved for listing, and as part of that process are required to abide by AURA’s Event Listing Policy which states the event is “expected to be conducted to a reasonable standard, with due consideration for aid stations, safety, and the like”. AURA currently has no capability to ascertain whether an event meets these requirements, and it is recommended an event participant conduct their own due diligence in regards to an event’s safety provisions and risk management.
In February 2017 AURA established a sub committee to investigate the appropriateness of its listing policy, safety processes and obligations as it relates to AURA events and make recommendations to the Association in this regard.
