This is the Inaugural “Red Dirt (12 hour) Backyard Ultra” this is the only year that it will be limited to 12 hours, however we want to give the Pilbara a taste of the Backyard Ultra, without scaring people away.

It is a 6.71km loop, situated off Bayview Road in Karratha. The event will be run over 12 hours.

The initial 6 hours will be ‘on the hour, every hour’ but in order to get down to a “Last One Standing” there will be a 5min time limitation added each hour after the 6 hour mark, so the course will get faster as the evening goes on.
