Numinbah to Pollys

Where: Numinbah Valley Environmental Education Centre, 1721 Nerang-Murwillimbah Road, Numinbah Valley, QLD.
Status: 49km unsealed, GPS measured course. Shorter distance events also offered.
When: The last event was held on 24 April 2016 (2017 event was cancelled due to weather damage to course)
Access: The access is immediately south of the bridge over the Nerang River on the Nerang-Murwillimbah road. Hot showers and toilets are available at the Centre. Free car parking is available for 40 cars at the Centre and 20 in the approach road.
The run course: (a) NEEC to Pollys and back, total 18.7 km, b) NEEC-Pollys-NEEC thence to Numinbah township and back, total 34.7 and (c) NEEC-Pollys-NEEC-Woonoongoora Campsite-Numinbah-NEEC for a further 14.6 km, for a total of 49.3 kms.
Walkers: Not only are they are most welcome, but they are encouraged. This event is as much for walkers as it is for runners.
Start time: 0700. Electronic timing will be employed so as to enable us to keep track of everyone.
Aid stations: Runners are encouraged to carry fluid and energy replacement to last for at least 8 km. Top-up facilities will be available at the race turnaround at Pollys, NVEEC and Chesters Road end. These stations will also carry Endura rehydration formula, Coca-Cola, bananas and lollies. There will be no intermediate aid stations. These aid stations are on roads and are accessible by family and friends.
