The Glow Worm Tunnel Marathon Weekend is one of the most awesome trail running weekends there is!

The terrain is exciting, challenging and you may find it hard to keep the smile from your face.

The Glow Worm Tunnel Marathon Weekend has been ran 10 out of 11 years since 2012. The only time it was cancelled was 2020 due to the COVID pandemic and bushfire damage. We had big plans for 2023 but the Wolgan Road landslip and the closure of access to the Wolgan Valley put those on hold! We have had our challenges in 2023 but we are ready to go!

Due to no access to non residents and difficulties in finding a suitable event area on the Newnes Plateau we have decided to move the Event Hub and all the races to Glen Davis.

We will have the same great event hub vibe at Glen Davis Campground. There will be the usual Marathon course going all the way from Glen Davis to the tunnel and back. The 30km and the Half Marathon go up Pipeline Track to Newnes and back to Glen Davis with spectacular views from The Pagoda Lookout. The 6km Bolt is a 3km up/3km down the Pipeline Track. The Pipeline Dash is a 1km dash to the log book up Pipeline and a 1km back down to the finish! The Kids race will also be on – 1km around the camp ground for the under 12’s.
