The Tan 100 and 53.5km were held on 15 August 2010. Barry Loveday shattered the race record with an impressive 7:14:45.

In case you didn't know
  • Sharon Scholz has gone further ahead in the AURA points competition (available to AURA members only) on 89 points, from Mal Gamble on 71 and Ron Schwebel on 65.
  • AURA members have just gone through the 400 mark, up from 250 of two years ago. Family memberships are $100, full members $80 and a $30 concessional membership rates for juniors, seniors and non-competing members. With the Ultramag including postage thrown in this represents outstanding value. You can support AURA by joining here.
  • The 3rd edition of the IAU World Trail challenge will take place in Connemara (IRL) on July 10 2011. AURA will be looking for interested parties to field teams for this event.
  • The Commonwealth Games Federation have sanctioned the 2nd Commonwealth Mountain and Ultra Distance Running Championship. After the resounding success of the 1st edition of this event held in Keswick, UK, the CGF sanctioned the second championships. Next step is to secure a host city. The event will be scheduled in 2011 or 2013. More later...
  • The 9th IAU 24 Hour World Championship will take place in Brugg, Switzerland from June 24-26, 2011.
