IAU 50km trophy race

 

 

The IAU conducts a 50km trophy race each year. There are several (approximately twelve) selection races held throughout the year between January and end August. The winner (male and female) of each selection race plus a number of wildcards (performance based) will then contest the final race. The most recent IAU trophy race was conduted at Gibraltar on 31 October 2009.

Australia was represented by June Petrie and Verity Tolhurst. June finished 4th woman in 3:44:35, setting a new Australian W45 record in the process and Verity finished 7th in 4:06:54.
