Where: The latest additions to the Cairns Road Runners Trail Run in Far North Queensland, this is another event not for the faint-hearted! Race Founder, Larry Lawson, claims that this ultra marathon came about ‘by accident’, as there was “A Marathon in Three Days” on the race calendar, but Larry said “ I’ll do Three Marathons in Three Days”, and soon he had enlisted other Club Members to join him. Beyond this, it seems to have taken on a life of its own, with a lot of excitement about the event. He also warns that it will not be easy.
When: 6-8 July 2012
Status: 3 day stage race totalling 126.6 kms. The main event consists of three stages, each 42km, run over three consecutive days. A relay option is available for those who would like to do only one or two of the marathons.
Parking/Accommodation: Ample parking at all venues and
overnight accommodation available at Cedar Park, Speewah and Mareeba.
